Sleep, enough sleep, enough sleep to keep your eyes clear and not tired. Awake. Body movement and spiritual exercises. Stretching, moving, breathing. Tea and coffee, light food. Fruit, nuts, cereals, something that doesn’t weigh you down. Enough is enough. Before the day begins in earnest, it is good to wash the yesterday off. It’s always good. It opens space for today. A book, a fountain pen, the shape are there, wanting to be worked on, the thoughts thought through, the feelings satisfied. Still inside. The preparation, the spirit. Calming down.
Now into the woods, for a walk, to stimulate the bones, to make the blood run for you. It’s sunny or it may rain. Airy and open in winter, thick and green in summer. Winter feels dead. In summer you are stung by mosquitoes and brambler It can be sharp, but it can also be fragrant. Outside, you can feel the wind and the stream. Outside, it’s cold and hot, and pleasant and more real. Tuning in.
A meal, slowly, a rest, maybe a nap. Wood, fire, metal, water, sunflowers, garden, atmosphere. Forward with hands. Creating, observing how the desired form emerges from the material. Concentration, cooperation, work. Talking, listening, thinking together. Finding the best option. Joy, new encounters, discovering possibilities. A walk, the indispensable evening walk. Evening, reflections turn into conversations. Food is lighter, by the fire, under the canopy. The darkness comes down and covers the sounds. Objects become words. The last light fades imperceptibly and the music fades too. Imperceptibly, I say. The day has passed. Good night!
