The Temple and The Book
A draft plan that I present has taken shape over the past year. I began reflecting on how I wish to continue my astrological work and became aware of thoughts beginning a retrograde motion. This led me to the idea of exploring the natal charts of interested participants through letter writing. A gentle, gradual unfolding of our stories. Exchange of thoughts and narratives. I arrived at the vision of co-authoring a book over the next twelve years with one individual from each astrological sign. The book will be based on the texts of the letters we exchange. These letters are original sketches—gathered and bound into volumes alongside artistically rendered natal chart illustrations, then exhibited. The exhibition space will be a temple built in the forest, where all written letters, artistic natal chart representations of participants, and the resulting book will be preserved. The project timeframe is twelve years. We are living in a remarkable astrological chord — deepening of understanding of polarities: heart – mind, blood – electricity, center – circle, core – periphery. The Aquarius–Leo axis.
1. Physical Construction
– Site preparation
– Drafting plans
– Sourcing materials (bricks, masonry, wood)
– Material processing (bricklaying, cutting, treatment)
– Construction (foundation, cellar, structure, walls, roof)
– Interior finishing and exterior completion (façade, furniture, hearth, chimney, gutters, water collection system)
– Surroundings (benches, well, greenery, forest)
2. Content & Spiritual Dimension
– Writing the book (with interested individuals representing all zodiac signs)
– Letter correspondence – Reflecting on personal charts and seeking answers related to deepening of understanding of polarities: heart – mind, blood – electricity, center – circle, core – periphery.”
– Texts are exchanged as handwritten letters, later collected and used as the basis for editing and refining the book
– Minimum of two letters per year from each participant
– Hand transcription and hand-binding of the book
– Artistic rendering of natal charts for all involved individuals
– Collected letters are bound into volumes and exhibited together with natal charts (with or without names, by agreement)
– Timeframe: **8–4 years** (eight years of correspondence, four years of editing)
3. Project Commencement & Completion
– Start: July 29, 2026, 1:20 PM, Istokstan. End: August 1, 2038, 5:45 AM, Istokstan
– Participants: At least 13 individuals who, after reflection, join the realization of “The Temple and The Book”—engaging in writing, construction, editing, book production, chart illustration, and collective resource gathering
– “The Temple and The Book” are accessible to all who visit. Letters and the book may only be read within the temple or its designated surroundings.
